ACman 7,566 #1 Posted June 1, 2016 (edited) Well today was my B- bay and wasn't expecting much. I new my wife was probably going to have some family and friends over to ,eat ,swim ,and let the kids drive some horses and have some fun . So when my cousin told me he was going out to start the 753 I thought nothing of it. While I was eating some cake I seen my son on the 656 drive by. A little while later my cousin wanted to go out in the garage to see what he needed to fix the hood on the RJ58 . We're sitting there talking for 5 , 10 minutes all the while the 656 is running, sitting out in the driveway. That's when I look up and see the hood ornament ! It's not a 656 it's the 1075 I called on earlier but someone was there buying it . Well that someone was my cousin and my son . This thing is raunchy , dirty, and just flat out cool in my eyes. . I'm really loving these short frame square hoods . And to top it off I also got a tee shirt ( there's no mistaking who I am at the show ) ! Enough talking here's some pics. roadapples 6,981 #6 Posted June 1, 2016 (edited) Nice present, AC... tee shirt is a great idea. I could put some road apples on mine so everyone would know who I am, although no one would want to... Edited June 1, 2016 by roadapples
squonk 39,412 #7 Posted June 1, 2016 Awesome muffler! Might need to hang some weight on the other side to balance it out! 4 hours ago, roadapples said: Nice present, AC... tee shirt is a great idea. ACman 7,566 #19 Posted June 1, 2016 (edited) Thanks , everyone for Bday wishes . I guess mine come true. Here's a little more of what let up to the purchase. We picked up the 656 for my uncle in Mentone (my cousins dad with the agreement that it's part of or stable) just for roller duty. Well I've been keeping an lookout for another one (short frame square hood). This past week a a CL ad popped up with a 1067 with mower deck, chains, blade, snowplow, snowblower, and the 1075 with deck . Said both run great, first $500 takes all. Well this past holiday weekend my cousin wanted to put some horses in the parade. So he came and grabbed the trailer, 753, charger 10 , and off to his dad's to bring back the 656 . While loading the 656 the neighbor ( my best friends dad ) seen it along with the others . He's a owner already, so after he wiped the drool off his chin , he asked my uncle why he needed the 656 and how much we paid. He told him how much and it was for roller duty. His response was " I like that could you find me one for plow duty so I don't have to take off my deck , it's getting to hard swapping , but nothing over $500 " . So they worked something out . He ended up with the 1067 with snow removal equipment, and I got my short square hood 1075 . Everyone's happy. Best part of all It's in the family still ( we all consider Ron family) and if we need it , just go get it. Sometime soon we'll get them all lined up for some pics. For now there all in my barn ( besides Ron's ) but we warned him to keep them separated! This weekend were going to get my cousin and his tractors introduced as he is already a member.
