Rim size for D-160?

Recommended Posts

I am having trouble finding specs for the front rim size for my 76 D-160.

One rim has come apart and appears to be non original.  It has a plate that bolts into the rim to make it fit the spindle.

I need to replace one or both front rims.

I have an FEL on the tractor so need to make sure what I get will handle the extra weight.

Anyone know the correct size and offset for these and where I can get something suitable without going broke?

Thanks.

Trent

Do you have 1" or 3/4" front spindles?  I have both sets of front wheels that I'd let go for pretty cheap (aka they're in my way and I'd like them out of my shop).

Hi, sorry for the delay, life has been crazy here.

I believe they are 1" spindles as I think they only had 3/4" in 74 and then switched but I do not know for certain.  I will be going to the house where the tractor is tonight or tomorrow and will measure.

What do you think shipping on rims would cost?

I have to get back to work on the D-160.  The counter weight on the back to help with the wight of the FEL caused the weld to break on the rock shaft so I have to pull the wight off and weld it back solid, then I have a lot of digging to do with the bucket.  I have been thinking about making a digging claw I can attach to the bucket for breaking the soil loose so it is easier to move with the FEL.  These just are not designed for digging.but I have not seen a single backhoe attachment for sale that would fit a mid-sized tractor like this.  One day I may build my own backhoe but I have way too many projects on my plate to even begin planning that right now.

Thanks.

Trent
