Localish 1077 value?

Guy near me wants to sell me his 1077, but I don't really have an idea on its value. Rebuilt motor, new starter, tires, and belts. Here's a not so awesome picture. Comes with front blade. What do you guys think? He likes some of my other horses, with the wife's wisdom teeth removal friday I don't have much play money, buuuut I have a way of finding it for the right deal!

I paid $270 for my 1076 two years ago, but it was not in as nice a condition as the 1077 you're looking at.  If the Kohler rebuild was a good one, it should be a good tractor.  The 1077 has the Sunstrand 800 trans, so make sure you ride it around for awhile until the transmission gets warm.   Nice tractor, and mine is one of my favorite WHs.    Good luck with it.

Thanks guys, I know values change a lot from region to region. I do have a spare hydro just for that reason. Can't let a good one go just for a weak trans right? I paid $80 for a 1077 at one time but it was a piece of work.

That doesn't look like a 1077....a 1077 is a long frame and that's a short frame, so it's probably a 877. I have both those models and my 877 looks exactly like this tractor....should have the 8HP Kohler in it

Nothing like a good short frame hydro Horse!  Funny thing. I'm been seeing lots of tractor pics with tools and beer cans around them lately!
