bds1984 1,384 #1 Posted May 19, 2016 Well, as the title states, I just added a 1984 C195 to the herd this evening. It has around 1100 hours on it but doesn't show it at all. I've never seen one in person until tonight and it is quite a bit larger than my C165 with the swept axle! Wow. I was a bit skeptical of this machine having a series one KT19 but after seeing it start, run, and cut some grass it sounded nice with no abnormal noises or smells; all deck spindles are quiet and the hydro works great, even the fender pan is in tact! It will need a new pto belt and PTO crank seal but that is something I can replace in a few hours and I don't consider that to be a big deal. My C165 seems little when parked beside it and I consider that one big compared to 95% of the new stuff on the lot these days! Here are a few pictures after I unloaded it from the trailer and there will be more pictures to follow as I clean her up! Never mind the spare trailer tire as my wheel chock, the parking brake needs some adjusting! Hopefully my dad doesn't get too upset with my growing collection in his garage!

jay bee 817 #4 Posted May 19, 2016 Nice addition. Better be careful or there won't be any room for cars in the garage...
roadapples 6,981 #5 Posted May 19, 2016 The C195 is bigger than the yellow car....

kthack657 254 #8 Posted May 20, 2016 195s are awesome, we got one last year and while the paint does not look as great as yours, we were lucky enough to get one...last year, brought it home in the back of our pickup truck. It even has the original WH wheel weights
bds1984 1,384 #9 Posted May 20, 2016 Well I think I cleaned off 15 pounds of oily, greasy crud from the under side of it. It looks much better underneath but still needs a bit of cleaning in the nooks and crannies. Anyways, I think the oil leak may be from the PTO side oil seal.... so, I ordered a complete gasket set and will redo do it all. In order to do that, I need to remove the PTO. All I need to do is remove the one bolt from the end of the crankshaft? It sure is a different clutch design than every thing else I've see on a Wheel Horse. papaglide 541 #12 Posted June 11, 2016 That's a nice looking C195. Good luck with her. I had a chance to get one a while back but for some stupid reason I decided not to.
JPWH 5,308 #13 Posted June 11, 2016 Very nice C195. I don't have a need for anything that big but I sure want one!

My go to rig for general work and plowing is my 520-mutt. If I want to haul/move something heavy without breaking a sweat, the C165 gets the nod. I haven't decided on what role the Super C will have....

Unused garage (shed, barn, tent. even rec rooms!) space is unheard of 'round Red Square! Ain't that the truth! Great lookin' Horse you got there!
