semperfi8185 56 #1 Posted May 16, 2016 Started up the 73 12 Automatic yesterday to get my mow on and noticed some black smoke when starting the engine and gas dripping from the air cleaner right befor shutting the engine off. Do I rebuild or replace a 43 year old carb? Thanks Greg
953 nut 60,238 #2 Posted May 16, 2016 Kits on are about $10 and probably a new needle and seat is all you need. Check the throttle shaft to see how much play it has too.

82Caddy 851 #6 Posted May 16, 2016 I ended up having to replace the one I had on a k341 due to worn throttle shaft. I tried cleaning/new gasket kit and it still leaked. Replacement was an ebay special and haven't had an issue since.
