Recommended Posts

i just got back from looking a suburban and wondering what the far price would be.

working on the pictures

The deck is in great under for the age is figured either 400 but could be 401. doesn't run now but has good compression and trans seems to be good. messed with for a little bit and shifts into all gears and everything seems to be there but the pully guards on engine to trans. can easily be made though, any help will be nice:)

340 but we are trading somethings and want to know how much in value to trade and maybe pay the remaining.

we thought that and thats how much he has in it and he knows i really want it since i have been looking at it for over a year now.

he is know for selling things for less then what he paid as he is selling a cub for 500 less when he bought it.

I'd agree. That's not a bad price from what it looks like in the pictures. :)

the back tires are nice and the 2 front looks nice too but my dad said the one has a grove crack around the rim but im sure they will still hold air

he is my friend who is the one i do my projects with that is more like family brother. has had it for about 3 years and he wouldn't sell it since we are working out deal.

The throttle/choke controls definitely are 1960. It's hard to tell but it looks like the foot pedals are mid 60's but that was a common swap back then. :)

:handgestures-thumbupright:   Front tires look like the originals, that is a big plus. Probably an easy project, looks good.  :text-coolphotos:

Nice tractor. It's a 400 suburban. 1960 with 62 pedals. Tool box, fenders and belt cover are missing. 340.00 is about right. I'd pay that.

I think fenders and tool box were optional at that time, so maybe not "missing", just not there.  Which is fine.

The belt guard can be had as a reproduction for under $50.

I'd buy it as is.

WHX??

Might be an early '60... solid seat pan .... huge plus in my book... a Clinton B1290 would be a correct motor for it too. One day they used Kohlers ..next day they used Clintons left over from RJ's.... all depended what was on the engine racks that day. :confusion-shrug:

Nice patina.... I'm with Craig...burn rubber.... :auto-layrubber:
