Ohwheelhorse 121 #1 Posted May 14, 2016 I have a 1966 L-156 lawn ranger with a 32" deck. Today I was mowing along and found a little bush stump hiding. After lots of noise and checking under the deck I found the spindle housing was cracked. I don't really need this to mow much longer. Is it worth while for me to repair this deck? It would depend on where the crack is located. As a temporary fix, if the crack is far enough away from the spindle you could bridge it with a piece of channel iron drilled and bolted to the top and bottom sides.
