ronhatch 406 #1 Posted May 9, 2016 (edited) I was disappointed with my C-101 after installing PMPS using ball thrust bearings a couple of weeks ago. So I replaced the smallish 12" diameter steering wheel with a 14.5" wheel. I didn't actually mow with it yet, but after driving it around the yard for a minute or two, I think it helped a lot. Why would WH install such a small steering wheel to start with? My round fender JD, B-10 AC, and 4016 Case all have 14.5" to 15" wheels. farmer 1,078 #2 Posted May 9, 2016 Now you mention it steering wheels have become larger as machines got 'newer', at least from '68 to '93, maybe larger decks, engines or tyres caused this?
