ok so I pulled the carb off the 702 and cleaned it all up put it back together im assuming correctly, but now once it runs for a few seconds theres all kinds of gas coming out the air intake hole. now I should mention, that my o-ring gasket on the bowl expanded and was too big to fit so I did splice it but that I wouldn't think would cause any issues ? any ideas?

Sound like you need a new carb kit...

and complete the process again.

You need a carb kit. New gaskets with a new needle and seat. About $15.00 and an easy repair.
