Lane Ranger 11,410 #1 Posted May 7, 2016 I was given this one page safety sheet that was given to tractor buyers in the 1960's (came from a pile of old Wheel Horse dealer manuals and papers) and thought it should be of interest to the Red Square Wheel Horse Forum Members. I sent to Garry to post in the Wheel Horse Manuals area of this site.

lynnmor 7,829 #3 Posted May 7, 2016 (edited) The idiot across from me mows with a cheap green and yellow tractor using one hand. The other hand holds the baby or the small toddler. Sometimes the toddler is in the tiny trailer while he holds the baby. 100% of his mowing is done this way. I don't know how to report this, the various agencies don't seem to have a way to enforce this till after the Darwin Awards are handed out. My daughter rides on mine with me sometimes but never while using any implement. That holds true for my larger tractor with a cab as well.
WheelHorse79 271 #8 Posted May 8, 2016 I'm surprised that there isn't an illustration about mowing steep slopes. That scenario gets more than a few people in trouble. Sometimes it can be hard to judge a slope or part of a slope that's too steep to mow.

Its to steep.

That just makes my stomach flip when I see or hear of someone mowing while having an infant on board. That is a disaster waiting to happen. I've never done that and never will.
