How do you remove and test a Trigger Ring ?

Recommended Posts

Seeing I have the Flywheel off the Wheel Horse 518-H, and in the process of installing a new Ignition Trigger Module, how do you remove and test the Trigger Ring? And what is the Part number ?

Thank you in advance guys,

Dick

this is a good source for part numbers. I would be interested in how you test that piece as well. page 16 of that site above has the part number(166-0767) rotor, ignition.

when I was going thru my electrical issues I replaced lots of stuff, the demystification guide really helped, so much so that i printed the entire thing out and have it in  my garage wheel horse file box with receipts of all work done. I wonder how you test the stator as well, never did it.

Another source I use when trying to get parts for my onan is my local john deere dealer. the WH520HC has the same engine as the John Deere JD420. The parts are a bit pricey but they always come through.
