dave s 0 #1 Posted December 15, 2008 Ordered new tires, What I got were Turf Trac R/S,23X10.5X12, can't seem to get much info. from the Carlisle site, anyone know what R/S means (radial)? With wheel weights there seems to be enough traction pushing snow (it trips the mold board springs) when hitting into the frozen snow banks.
kpinnc 10,980 #2 Posted December 15, 2008 R/S means Rounded Shoulder. C/S means Beveled Shoulder, but I guess Multi-trac B/S just didn't sound too good... Of course, that's what Carlisle says. Could mean anything for another company... Kevin
Docwheelhorse 2,561 #3 Posted December 15, 2008 I would vote that R/S stands for Really good in Snow! Trust me---Mike and I found out just how sick those tires are when you get the two ply version and leave them on the soft side. Tony
linen beige 14 #4 Posted December 16, 2008 Could C/S mean chamfered shoulder?
dave s 0 #5 Posted December 16, 2008 I'm going to go with Tony's definition, I'll tell anyone who asks they are Rain & Snow tires, watch how well they grip when doing Hot Laps in the driveway in inclement weather. dave s :hide:
