TRANS SHIFT LEVER BOOTS?

Recommended Posts

ronhatch

Does anyone have a source for new shift lever boots? I'm in need of 2 of them. I went to my local Toro dealer and because of the age of my units, :-( he wasn't any help. Thanks! Ron

Ron, if you are having trouble with your TORO dealer, you could try mine in Elgin.  They have all the information and have always wanted to help me get Wheel Horse parts.

Ralph Helm Inc.  Lawn Equipment Center

847-695-1616

They are just east of Randall Rd. on the frontage road just north of the RT#20 Bypass.  :)

I'm with Steve, find another dealer.  Your guy should have had no trouble finding that part for you.

Future reference, there's several good parts sources listed here:

To be fair the the dealer Toro has been slowly removing the online info we have enjoyed for years. This is all that is left of the info for the model 867 which I think is the model involved here.

https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/index.cfm?xCaller=Toro

You may have to do a search for 867 and then open the parts list.

Thank goodness we have the parts list in our own library.

The veterans will know that boot has been the same part forever but not everyone has that experience including some dealers.

Perhaps an invitation to join the Red Square forum would benefit everyone in the end.
