ronhatch 406 #1 Posted April 16, 2016 I have PMPS needle thrust bearings in the front spindles/axle of my 4016 case/ingersoll which - I guess - is an improvement. Kinda hard to tell sometimes if they help much. Sooo, that's why this time I'm going to install ball thrust bearings in the front of my newly restored WH C-101 with rubber washers above and below the bearing to help hold in the grease and maybe keep some of the dirt out. The BI D5 bearings are quite more expensive then the needles were, but if they make a noticeable difference, it maybe worth it or maybe not?

ronhatch 406 #3 Posted April 24, 2016 I just installed the BI D5 thrust ball bearings on the front of my C-101. I'm sorry to report it didn't make the steering much easier. Very disappointed!
