Please help me identify this 37" snow thrower

Hey guys I'm new to this site and this is my first post. I know nothing about wheel horse tractors but am becoming very interested. While walking behind my house I found this snow thrower in the woods (along with a drill press as early as 1915!). I would like to identify this and then get a tractor that it is compatible with. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have attached pictures.  Thank you

If you post a couple of pics, I'll bet someone here can identify it.

It probably won't allow you to yet, as you have just joined the site.  It will probably allow you after 24 hours or so.

Got them up! Any help would be greatly appreciated. I found a cool wheel horse c 81 not too far from my house. Hopefully this is compatible and I can go pick it up

I don't own a snowthrower and have no experience with them, but that one looks like it would fit the C-81 and it looks like it's complete too.  Wait and see what the experts have to say though, don't take my word for it.

The old I found it in the woods story, sure...How many guys on here have told their wives that...:ychain: Seriously I think it will fit the C81. Not sure if 8hp is enough for a blower, I`m sure others will chime in. You`ll need a new chain and maybe bearings and pulleys after sitting out, but not overly expensive especially since the blower was free. Good luck and   :WRS:

thanks for the reply! Like I said I really don't know much about these. Any models you would recommend? I also found a 520H with the original ONAN 20hp motor. Price is $1000. Not sure if its a good deal or not.https://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/grd/5511444128.html  ideally i would like to go with an older one but I guess it doesn't matter too much as long as the blower will fit it.

That blower is not for a 520.  BTW...Welcome to Red Square  :)  While you might be able to mount it an a long frame tractor (B & C series) that blower looks more like a ST-376, which would be better made for a Round Hood or Short Frame tractor...like an 857.  8 hsp is enough for running that blower.  ST-376 equates to Snow Thrower/37"/1966.  You are missing the flag.  I would go back into the woods and see if it is there.  It is a metal tube about 1 foot long with a triangle piece of metal welded on one end.  It fits in that lone pipe on the blower...it attaches to the lift mechanism for raising the blower.  It is something you could make if you can't find it.

Here is what the flag looks like.

I'm thinking that's for a late 60's to early 70's, just before they had the front tach-a-matic. It looks just like my 76 other than the bracket. Notice the steel wheels. It will easily work on those years or easily adapt to  s B, C, 300 or 400 series. It would be considered a 42" if it had the side plates. Dealers were instructed not to install the plates on 8hp tractors. I bought a new 76 B-80 with a blower. I asked where the plates were and that's what I was told. He handed them to me but I didn't like them. Even after bolting a 16hp on it. :)
