1978 C 121 Hydro Drive Belt

We have a  1978 C 11 Hydro Wheel Horse that needs a new drive belt.     The  partstree.com  listing for this tractor as two numbers a  7478  and 106496.   There is a Service Bulletin number 314  that has infomraiton about a renumbered  7874 belt Wheel Horse sold  that was listed as a 4535.   The 7478 belts apparently had  two different belts -one labeled in silver lettering and one in red.   The silver ones were renumbered  7478 per the service bulletin.

 

I have purchased the 7478 in the past and it was a little short and the 106946  is too long. 

 

Does anyone have information on the correct belt, number and length to use for this tractor???

Not sure but, this might help. Looks like 5/8" x 84"  is your drive belt. 

 

P/N 0007478 WH.  Replaces 4535 (HB/5L x 84.22")
1977 and prior Automatic models may benefit from using a 85"
6984 Gates 21/32"x84"

5L840W Napa 21/32"x84"
258‐084 Stens 5/8"x84"

85840 Goodyear 5/8"x84"
L584 Dayco 5/8"x84"

I like the Huskee Kevlar belts. On the shelf at Tractor Supply. Most are around $25.

Belts are green meaning? Oil resistant.
