joebob 45 #1 Posted December 13, 2008 I have a couple of gas tanks that need repairs done to them, where the hoods mount, and I was wonder how most of you have repaired them in the past, do you split the cases and weld them or ? I would like to tig them if a can just dont know if its the right thing to do or possible ,I have never split these before what are they sealed with ?? joebob 45 #3 Posted December 13, 2008 Thanks I just bit the bullit and went for it , and after looking closer I noticed the years were differant, and I had both in my hands before I started I welded in 1/2" pieces so there should be plenty to drill and tap to for the hood mount, I also filled a switch hole in the front dash panel, now I just need to finish and throw one of the decal guys decal on there Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
