You just can't work a horse to death. It just keeps on going. Nice repairs.

Want to see and ugly horse check out my avatar.Thing never saw a day under cover,Foot rest have rust holes.Right now its waitng to move a couple yards of coarse wood chips after I break for lunch. You can't see it in the photo but since the replacement muffler wouldn't fit under the hood someone cut out the whole side and part of the top of the hood.

I wouldn't call her ugly but my 1277 is still a worker and gets put to use almost daily in my landscaping and tree care business,  as well as around the house.

UGLY HORSES?  There ain't no such thing!  :o

'79 C-121 currently in engine overhaul stage and '80 C-105 waiting it's turn for overhaul.  Both of them are good, solid tractors.  They've been neglected and in need of a little TLC.

I have never seen foot rests actually rust out before like this one had.

More than likely had collected wet leaves in the footrests while stored or outside. It's a bit more common than you think (check out ranger's post of his 312-8). I get the feeling they don't get as many layers of paint in some of the corners from the factory as one would like and that contributes. Love me some rust though...or shall we say patina? Nice pics of both.

1995 520H. It was used by a local hospital for snow removal. 332 hours on a working meter. I was going to use it for parts on my other 520H's. Now I'm thinking about redoing her. The pictures make it look better than what it is.

It's the hydraulic tank. When I finish the 854 the raider gets rebuilt. I will build a 3" bumper that will also hold the hydraulic fluid. Should add about 50 lbs to the front.

Here are a couple of my "Ugly Ducklings", the 1055 I am driving is my first :wh: and the one on the trailer is my first 953 on the day I brought it home. Both are worker/survivors and look beautiful to me!

1055 and 953.jpg

I don't see ugly. If they get to be an eyesore let me know. I will be glad to hide them for you.:handgestures-thumbupright: :ychain:

The picture of my 520h in my avatar might be too small to appreciate how ugly she really is so - -.To give a hint I refer to this one as the big ugly tractor. You guys that have a few know that sometimes you have to name them or number them because I'm taking the Wheel Horse  is not specific enough.JAinVA
