Wishin4a416 2,191 #1 Posted April 2, 2016 Just in case I get to ever find one of these in nice shape, where is the infamous 9 pin connector prone to failure located at?

DougC 2,643 #3 Posted April 10, 2016 Most likely someone will already have been there and butchered bypassed some wiring or replaced several different colored wires with the roll of black 14 gauge wire they already had laying around..............Oh and the dreaded residential electricians twist on non weatherproof wire nuts or just twist the wires together and wrapped with black electrical tape ............ The 520H my father-in-law bought new he would keep overfilling the battery and the battery acid corroded the connector after about a year. Keep on looking, you'll find a good one Jack.
cheesegrader 433 #4 Posted April 10, 2016 Maybe I have been lucky, but the 9-pin connector has not caused me much headache. I have one that is a little discolored, and will be replaced this spring. Most of my electrical problems have been at the fuse block. I have had one igniiton switch that needed replacement, and one voltage regulator. I also have one tractor with a balky relay, that will also be redone with waterproof relays this spring as well. On the long list of potential electrical gremlins, I would put the 9-pin connector about 4th or 5th place!
