1973 wheel horse 18 automatic Kohler engine question

Recommended Posts

Picked up the tractor in the attached picture today.  It's a model 1-0610.

My question is about the engine.  It's definitely a kohler engine because I can see a stamp in the engine casting that says Kohler.

However, I cannot find the silver tag indicating engine type?  The engine does look original.  I can see K355 stamped into the top of the motor but it does not look like there are any manuals for a K355.

The engine turns over but is not firing.  Not sure if fuel is getting to the motor yet - just wondering about the engine at this point?

Does anyone know how I can find out what the engine number is so I can get a manual?

:WRS:      A 1973 :wh: D  would have a K482-35209B  engine. The manuals that Gary posted will provide all the information you need, just down load it and follow the trouble shooting guide.
