GlenPettit 1,717 #2 Posted March 29, 2016 (edited) Being slightly short on the length is not a problem; the "suction" and "lift" of the Gator Blades tend to gently pull in the grass blades to the cutting edges, and 1/8" or even 1/4" shouldn't be much of a factor with normal dry grass. Extra long or wet grass, then the Gator Blades would not work as well.
