N3PUY 1,031 #1 Posted March 27, 2016 (edited) Here are pics from today's first running of the RJ35. The only thing it still needs is the throttle control installed. I had my youngest drive it around for a while so I could take some good pictures. And we both agree that alot of people probably got hurt riding one of those, Things like .... the clutch is the shifter, freewheels down hill, very light in the front end, steers poorly due to lack of weight, one wheel brake throws you sideways. These are all things you have to pay attention to while driving. Oh.... and it can vibrate out of neutral into gear .... this I'm gonna fix! Does this tractor look small? My boy said that when he bought this truck it had a "WHEEL HORSE" sticker in the back window. Was it your's? OOPS.... he went by too fast! Body weight transfer is a must going up hill. Playing in the dirt. Edited March 27, 2016 by N3PUY

I have the adjustment rod set so that the first 2 holes are neutral then full lever is only maybe ½ of full speed. I wouldn't want to go any faster. It is kinda fun to drive on flat land .... The first ride "up" to the neighbors was followed by learning how to use the brake coming back "down". I can't believe these were sold without a brake as standard equipment. Down hill speed is much faster than on level ground.

The slick is off a Rusty Wallace car ,,,, flowers are planted in it. The "A" wheel is off my boy's '31. Before and after pics.
55rj35jr 623 #8 Posted March 27, 2016 Looks really good they defiantly have come along way since the beginning, my 55 cable steer actually steers much nicer than my 57 rod steer but if you know the history of the cable steer it was short lived due to wear and breaking. enjoy the RJ keep safe!
