B-115 oil pan

Recommended Posts

Engine #252707-020-01 810114 11 (from 2015 local Toro dealer work order sheet)

My oil pan 391784 (from 2016 local B&S repair shop service order sheet - backordered part )

I have a 1981 Wheel Horse B115, B&S 11hp. The local B&S shop told me the 391784 oil pan is on backorder (they figured it would continue to be on backorder, so took mower home). One of the 4 frame mount flange is broken, and needs new crank oil seal also. I found new 391784 oil pans on the internet and used 391784 on eBay. Are all B&S 391784 oil pans the same as my 1981 Wheel Horse pan? Parts Tree website had 391784, but my engine number was not in their compatible engine list.

Mowed yard twice this year, but sooner or later engine may need worked on. Thanks

:WRS:   I am no expert on B&S engines, but would say the part numbers would dictate that it will work. :wh: built the tractors and associated drive train to fit the engine being supplied, not the other way around.

Thanks for the replies and welcome greatings.

I just bought a used B&S 391784 oil pan sump on eBay for $37 with free ship. Pan - cleaned and checked. Seller (3923) 100% Positive feedback; has a lot of mower parts in his eBay store. Probably wait until this fall to work on WH oil pan.

I put Bar’s Leaks ‘Concentrated Rear Main Seal Repair’ in the 30W oil on Friday. Ran engine about 15 minutes on Friday and 15 minutes on Saturday. Put clean paint roller pan under crankshaft pulley and above mower deck yesterday, extends to outside of the mower frame body on both sides. Crank oil seal leak first started getting kind of bad last fall, will update Bar's Leaks results. Checked today and not much oil leaking out.
