ARK Loader Fitment - Advice Needed

Recommended Posts

I am looking at the possible purchase of an ARK 508-QM, front end loader. It was originally installed on a C-120 or C-160 8-speed. Here is my question for all of you front end loader guys.

Will this model fit on my 416-H without too much modification?

If the subframe fits a C series, it will fit on the 4 series. Original subframes attach to the mid Tach-A-Matic and clamp to the trans at the cast axle extensions. The only thing might be the pump mounting bracket which is made to bolt on the Kohler but is something fairly easy to fabricate if you are running an Onan and it doesn't fit.

Thanks John. Apparently this is a 1974 unit. The Wheel Horse manual on the ARK 508-QM stated that it was for 1974 C-series. If my memory serves me correctly, the '74 C120 and 160 have the same basic frame as the 400's.

I think Wallfish is right. Also not sure about the pump mounting. I have a 74 C160 with an Ark loader. My favorite toy. I`m not that far away. If you need a hand, give me a holler...

Thanks. I may take you up on the offer if I end up getting it.
