Adams94 1,069 #1 Posted March 21, 2016 I am mounting a 48" deck to my 195 for the first time. I robbed the mule drive and belt from my dads 195 that has a 60" for it but is retired. The belt is not long enough to fit. Are there different belts required for a 48" opposed to a 60" on the mule drive? Or am I possible doing something wrong. It has been several years since we mounted the 60"

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,512 #4 Posted March 21, 2016 Is the front idler assembly the same for a 48" and a 60" deck? Garry
Adams94 1,069 #5 Posted March 21, 2016 Yes it is. The c195 only had one pulley on the front because there was one bolted to the frame
Aldon 4,828 #6 Posted March 21, 2016 The manual may not articulate the belt length for 48 with the pulley set up for C195 mule set up. Install the deck and run a non stretching string or cord over the pulleys. Use the cord to make a measurement of length. Do it with the Mule reduced or at the shortest setting. This should give you a close estimate of belt length. If its a bit long, the mule can be extended to fit.
