bizzo15 52 #1 Posted March 12, 2016 Hi guys, At the end of the mowing season last year I took the carburetor off my 1998 312-8 with the Kohler Command 12.5hp motor to give it a good cleaning/rebuild. Problem is I got side tracked with other projects and never got around to doing it. Well spring is fastly approaching and I decided to go through the carb and put it back on the tractor. Problem is I have no idea how the linkage goes back together. More specifically which holes each spring and linkage goes into. Does anyone have pictures of this or a manual that shows how it goes. I looked at the manuals I have for the tractor and engine and didn't see anything helpful. Thanks!

bizzo15 52 #3 Posted March 13, 2016 You're right, I wasn't digging deep enough, I finally found the info in the Kohler engine manual. The pics are a little blurry but using that and some trial and error I should be able to get it buttoned back up!
bizzo15 52 #4 Posted March 14, 2016 So I put everything back together best I could figure it should go and I've got something wrong when it comes to the Choke cable linkage, the choke cable lever doesn't move as freely as it used to and the butterfly on the carb doesn't open or close completely. I took the best pic I could of the way I set it up but does anyone out there with the same engine setup mind snapping a couple pics of how it's setup on theirs? I'm sure it's something simple I'm doing wrong but I can't for the life of me figure it out.
bizzo15 52 #5 Posted March 21, 2016 So I would like to give a big shout out to Jim (jgun45879). I did some searching on here for people who owned the same year and engine tractor as me after not getting any replies on this thread. Not only did Jim offer to take pics of the linkage and send it to me. He went out of his way to get it out of storage and in his shop so he could take the pictures. The pictures were exactly what I needed and I was able to get every thing hooked up in under 5 minutes and the horse fired right up!! It's people like this that make this forum a great resource. I'm going to post the linkage pics in case someone else needs them in the future. Thanks again Jim!
