cleat 5,088 #1 Posted March 11, 2016 Ready to start moving stuff around the yard when it finally dries up that is. I made note of the different hitches on vehicles around the yard. Should have enough to do it.

WNYPCRepair 1,875 #3 Posted March 11, 2016 You could hook them all together and make a train. Not to hijack your thread, but is that thing I circled at top left to protect the valve stem?
cleat 5,088 #4 Posted March 11, 2016 I bought this tractor new but the wheels I upgraded to a larger size and bought used ones. Yes, that is a protector for the valve stem. They were on it when I bought them. They are on all 4 wheels. Valve stems are metal so could get broken off. Rear tires are loaded like all my machines so a broken stem would be bad news.
WNYPCRepair 1,875 #5 Posted March 11, 2016 I have a walk behind tiller that likes to rip them off. If I ever use it again, I may just have to weld something like that on the wheels.
can whlvr 991 #6 Posted March 12, 2016 we have caps that screw on the valve protector to totally cover and protect the valve stem, these were on our offroad forklifts this keeps dirt out of the valve being that the tires are in 2-3 feet of mud half the time, some farm tractors heve them too
Wishin4a416 2,189 #7 Posted March 12, 2016 I think you have it covered Cleat. Wagons and Trailers plentiful?
DennisThornton 4,769 #8 Posted March 12, 2016 Well I thought I had seen every hitch WH ever made! And I suppose that I have, but perhaps I will never see all the hitches that WH owners have made! You got one that has escaped countless hours of searching! Until now! Cleat, is this your design? Looks like you could even slip in a clevis adapter if you wanted.
cleat 5,088 #9 Posted March 12, 2016 Yes, I designed and built this hitch. I guess you could make it work as a clevis hitch with an adapter. I built the heavy duty non lifting hitch as well but that one was sort of a copy of one for sale on this site. 3 hours ago, Wishin4a416 said: I think you have it covered Cleat. Wagons and Trailers plentiful? At this point, only one trailer and I am working on building a wagon. I can move them with whatever I am driving at the time which is handy. cheesegrader 433 #10 Posted March 12, 2016 I like your hitch collection. The front reciever would be useful for moving trailers around tight places. Did you build it? How does it sit against the front tach-o-matic? The side walls don't seem to be resting against any part of the tractor. There must be something transfering load to the front axle or frame, but I can't see what it is.
cleat 5,088 #11 Posted March 12, 2016 Here is the front receiver build link. I will be using it for the first time in a week or so when the yard dries up enough to pull the trailer out.
DennisThornton 4,769 #12 Posted March 12, 2016 I somehow overlooked that thread! Cleat, that's really neat! Oh! I didn't mean to create a rhyme!
