Clevis hitch travel...520H.

Recommended Posts

So I have the cable attached to the rocker link under the tractor in the outer most hole. I have 2 links of chain from the rock shaft to the Clevis hitch in the lower of the 2 holes.  The lift cable is screwed all the way into the trunion on the bottom of the rock shaft.

I can't even ride across my yard with the box scrape attached without dragging at times.

I got the entire hitch kit from Wheelhorseman1000 and its on my 94 520H.

The clevis where the cable ball end attaches was made in two lengths.  See:Manual

Correct. My 520 is hydrostatic with the filter on the left so it takes the long Clevis.

I have the long clevis installed.

Did you contact the vendor I am sure he would be happy to help you out.

No. Seeing as it's an exact copy of factory Wheel Horse parts, I figured I'd ask all the experts here about adjusting it correctly.

I sent you a pm but just use 1 link of the chain and you should be able to lift it as high as you need to. I include a two link chain for the hitch so it covers all possible applications and so you don't have the long  (tiller) chain hanging down and rubbing the paint off.

Thanks Lowell!

Pics in the AM if there's enough light before I leave for work, otherwise I'll post pics of me moving gravel tomorrow afternoon.

No problem, and remember you might have to loosen up the trunnion a little bit when you use just 1 link - just play with it until you get the results that you want.
