New Toy

Recommended Posts

cafoose

My birthday is next week and I bought myself a new toy for $800 a 1988 520-HC. I downloaded all the manuals for it but I can't find the snow thrower operating manual. I have the parts manual for the snow thrower. I'm not sure how to attach the snow thrower either.

Tractor model C120OE01 serial 10319, deck model 054SMS05, Snow Thrower Ber-Vac W 046 D

:occasion-birthdaymulticolor:    You really know how to celebrate your birthday.  :occasion-gift:

The good news is that you should have about eight or nine months to figure out how the snow blower hooks up. I don't have a snow blower, but looking at your :text-coolphotos: it appears that it would use the mid-mount atach-amatic where the mower is presently attached. Others who know will chime in soon.

That's the manual I downloaded and it only shows parts I would like instructions and pictures how to attach everything to the tractor.

Can you get a closeup of the two circled parts and post it?

What two circled parts are you referring to?

Try this one. On page 14 it shows the frame that appears to mount in the mid hitch and a link to the tractor lift. There are 2 lift assist springs that hook into the front hitch.

That does show me more but I would also like to see a little more detail on how it actually attaches to the tractor like on the lift lever and both ends of the assist springs and things like that.

I think you nailed it Brian, and I'm guessing the middle or top hole to get enough leverage to lift that monster blower that's  hanging so far in front of the pivot point.

What's the sense in getting older if you can't buy yourself a few memories?

Happy Birthday!
