petes 150 #1 Posted March 3, 2016 I've been working on a L-157 lawn ranger over the winter, new engine, mower deck bearings, welding some sheet metal cracks. One of the last things to address is replacing the front wheel spindles, the're shot, seems the previous owner didn't know what a grease gun was! I have the old part numbers, RH spindle #5542 the LH spindle #5543 and the wheels #3081, but for the life of me I cannot find them under these numbers or if the numbers have been superseded .I've tried the Toro web site to no avail. I sure would appreciate any help finding these parts. Thanks

petes 150 #8 Posted March 5, 2016 I received the spindles and axle today! The first pic is the LH wheel spindle, pretty bad shape. When I took it apart I had to dig the old grease out of the wheel with a screwdriver, I don't think it was ever greased! the second pic is the RH spindle, not as bad. The third pic is the axle wrist pin. The grease fitting was gone and the hole was packed with dirt but the pin is ok. The last one is my horse with a new front end. I'm going to clean up the old axle and store it. Red Square and Lane Ranger to the rescue.
