what year /model is this......may pick it up

Hello, From these limited photo's can anyone tell me what model / year this is.....I am guessing 63, 64, or 65............but would like to know. Its a little rough and a 2 hour drive so kind of tempted.............but, may get over it. Thanks

1963   tractor.   The hood has a metal lip band on the edge  at the bottom-between the gas tank and the front of the hood.

Yeah, the dash decal matches the '64 WH 854.

Correct.  854 stands for 8=8HP 5=Electric Start 4=1964.  They are a great tractor.  I grew up with the one my Dad bought used in 1966.  Many fond memories!

I am guessing the original tank has issues.........looking at the setup it has currently!!

Apparently.  :)  Wheel Horse actually came out with a repair for the 2 piece gas tanks that involved cutting out part of the bottom piece of the tank and inserting a smaller 1 piece tank into the 2 piece assembly.  Looks like someone tried this approach without the cutting and insertion!  :laughing-rofl:   If the old tank isn't cut up, it can probably be repaired with a new reproduction gasket or a 2-part epoxy tank sealant.  The tank is aluminum so it won't ever rust.
