pfrederi 18,567 #8 Posted February 25, 2016 (edited) OK you have a breakerless ignition system. Be very careful you can fry the trigger assembly and they are NLA. It is really an early transistorized ignition. The trigger is powered by a couple of coils on the stator. There should be 2 terminals on the trigger one A and one "I". The A terminal wire should come from behind the flywheel (the stator) This is not the charging system. The trigger is under the blower shroud and sits close to the flywheel. I am working from memory as i no longer have unit with a breakerless but the "I" terminal of the trigger should have two wires on it one goes to the magneto coil the other to the ignition switch which grounds it out when you turn it off. DO NOT apply battery voltage to that wire..
