1981 C175 Info

I need to know if the 1981 and 1984 C175 are the same as far as the transmission etc. I am looking to buy the 81 as a parts tractor. Does anyone know the years that the c175 were made?? thanks- steve b

ps I have 2 items for sale:

1. 42 inch plow set up

2. rear wheel weights

3. 42 inch mower deck

4. set of wheels and tires off 312-8 (rears are good fronts are not)

5. set of tire chains for 312

6. 1974 B80 complete and running with 8hp kohler

Are they hydro or 8 speed? If there 8 speeds they will interchange. If their hydros the 84 will have an Eaton 1100 tranny. The 81 tractor was the year they swapped out to Eaton and stopped using Sundstrand trannys so I think some early 81's have Sundstrands and the later 81's had Eatons.

They are both hydros. I understand that the eaton is a stronger tranny than the sunstrand, is that correct ??

Ok. I was wrong. The 1980 C-175 was the year they swapped out to Eatons over Sundstrands. Sorry Both tractors your lookin at should have Eaton trannys.

The C-175 was made from 1980-84.
