OK question for some folks, I can get a 1991 310-8 with deck and blade, runs but needs carb work possibly.  What is a reasonable price for this machine....

Carbs can be found  check prices for that and adjust price accordingly. Condition and  age/hours play a big part in the final amount  really nice lower hour  machine  could be worth 5-6hundred or more  but it could be a last a lifetime purchase.

can whlvr

where I live you wouldn't touch that machine for under 500 dollars, and with a second machine 750.00,ya I wouldn't pay that much but if its in good shape, lower hours, been taken care of,you can check the grease nipples for fairly fresh looking grease, look at air filter,if its plugged then that's a good indicator it might not have been well maintained,500 is a fair price for a decent tractor with USABLE deck, and if it comes with her grandmother then that's a bonus

Honestly buddy depends on the condition of the machine one in excellent condition can be worth $1,500 bucks i have seen many sell for that and more.. Like i said depends on condition and hours on the machine etc... So without seeing it, it is hard to give a proper value to it without all the info..

I'll hafta look at the hours next time I'm over there.  The machine isn't in bad shape, really just needs a little carb work and then go, tins all look good, has the ag tires on rear.  I don't NEED the 310, but when I can add to the herd it never hurts, I'm just stoked BC the 753 is a freebie so I don't want to steal the 310 for nothing from them.

All that said your best bet  is ask them what they want if it seem sgood go for it  if it runs the carb probably just needs cleaning. With the freebie it looks like a win win
