Kinda what I'm thinking. They say as far as atvs at least a 400 cc not sure what cc a 14 horse is but I'd think it be around 500 or so.

th?id=OIP.M340c526a50514564567bbbe939612      With out question the 414 would have enough HP. The limiting factor in most of these tractors is traction, not HP.

If the Swisher is self powered, you do not need much to just pull it around.

A 310-8 will easily pull 1000 lbs of wood in a 2 wheel cart all day long  that  mower is not that heavy and has a real low center of gravity the 414 would have no problem with that. It would probably not even notice that the mower was following it.

Thanks. I got some brush and briars about 5 foot tall to cut before I can make a Greenfield on it.

Tractor will pull it no problem...you may get torn up by the briars as you try to drive over them, hope the swisher can be offset to one side

:WRS:    As you become more familiar with your :wh: you will be amazed at the work it can do. Like Ed said earlier, traction is the limiting factor. If the brush is 5' high you will be glad the transmission has a low range, the Swisher will be working pretty hard!

Some advice. Safety glasses and gloves, at the bare minimum. Leathers would be nice.

I had a patch at the back of my yard, along with some brush. I used my blade to shove the brush and briars back into the woods. On of the briars hit my glasses, and had I not forgotten to take them off (they are just reading glasses) it would have taken out my eye. As it was, I looked like I had been through a fight inside a bag with a very ticked off cat. I had cuts and scratches all over, including a huge piece ripped out of my leg, right through my jeans.

Use a full face shield heavy coat and gloves even with a bladed weed wacker.  If its thick briers a wheel horse won't get thru.  I cut some thick briers 8 ft. high with a 30 HP farm tractor and a 5 ft. bush hog it just made it thru.
