The Horses enjoy the treat and the Grandsons like to watch the small aircraft taking off and landing. Pop-Pop does too. Yea she has a scratch or 2 here and there , i back filled and cleared where my foundation went 20 years ago with her , she is a working horse for sure,, but she always gets a bath and good going over before she goes back into the barn... She saved me a cpl thousand dollars doin the property for me ,, now she does my grass and snow removal and the occation clearing or ditch digging in the back property .. My wife and i always say thats the best investment we ever made.. So thanks guys for all the kind words !!
BESTDOGEVER 218 #14 Posted February 16, 2016 My 310-8 is a lot rougher than yours of course it's a few years older but in almost 30 years it's never failed to get the job done. They are truly one of the best tractors anywhere. My 418A and 518h would have all they want to do in a tug-o-war with the little one
doc724 925 #15 Posted February 16, 2016 That is a nice looking machine-well cared for. I always had a problem of iced up throttle cables on my 314 with a magnum. Water would get down between the cable and the housing. I used to hang a 100W light bulb from the cable to keep it warm. Never thought of using a heating pad! Now it even has new wheels on the deck. All nice & pretty for spring. That seat has lasted the longest I came from Northern. 14 hours ago, Phatboy said: Edited February 17, 2016 by Retired Sparky
Phatboy 565 #21 Posted February 17, 2016 Well it sure ie pretty,, i need to get some deep dish front rims like came on the 4 and 500 series and c series for the front of my machine ,, i hate the ones on it now.. I wanna get ag tires for the front but cant get them tell i get 2 new rims for mine.. They also came on some of the 300 series ,, dont know why mine came with the tiny ones ,, i really like the look of them deep ones with ag tires on them.. Hopefully ill find some to fit a retired guys budget lol...
ericj 1,579 #22 Posted February 18, 2016 if you change over to 8" front tires and rims, you should check your front spindles, most but not all used a taller spindle to level out and give more ground clearance. if you compare an 8" spindle to an 6" spindle you can usually see the difference. eric j 3 hours ago, Phatboy said: Well it sure ie pretty,, i need to get some deep dish front rims like came on the 4 and 500 series and c series for the front of my machine ,, i hate the ones on it now.. Im not sure the tire height will be different i just want to change to the Deep dish front rim,, the side wall will be smaller not sure the actual height of the tire will be different .. Basically i think im just exchanging side wall height for rim height i will investigate,, thanks for the heads up buddy !! ericj 1,579 #24 Posted February 18, 2016 not sure what the actual measurement of the spindle is but the 6" front rim take a taller spindle the the 8" rims do. the 6" rims were put on 310, 312 and some 416 so the 37" decks would fit on these tractors. i just remembered some of the 314's also did run the 6" front tires and rims. the 6" spindles were an 1" or 2 taller then the 8" eric j

I have a friend with a 520 ill measure his and compare his wheel hub height and compare it to mine ,, then adjust either tire or spindle to maintain factory frame clearance ,,, thanks buddy i never thought to check that again thanks for the heads up..
