1973Auto 80 #1 Posted December 6, 2008 :D I know this may be a dumb question but....I tried to disengage the trany so I could push it into the garage, but it would not turn either way. I just disengaged it last week but I don't remember which way I turned it. The decal is worn off so that is no help. Is the old righty-tighty, lefty-loosy still work. I don't want to put a pair of vise grips on it before I am sure. And would(could) there be an obstruction that is preventing it from turning. The last thing I want to do is damage the old trany. By the way it is the long slotted shaft on the left side of the trany while sitting. It's any sundstrand auto. :hide:
