Hello,

I'm new to the forum

I got a Toro Wheel Horse ride on mower its a 212.5 and has a Kawasaki engine in it.

I've looked all over it and cant find the model number there are numbers under the seat but they aren't any use when trying to find parts for it.

the mower its self has been really looked after reg oil changes and so on but the dech was trash iv'e spent many hours welding all the cracks up in the deck now its as good as new again its time to reco the spindles and get ne blades and so on not knowing what year it is or anything about it really its proving to be a bit harder than i thought it would be.

the rabbit that had it has welded the pulleys on it really was trashed.

if any of you guys can tell me what year it is and anything else you may know id very much appreciate it.

i'm in country Victoria Australia.

Thanks in advance

Rod.

We have a model# list here but it doesn't cover the 200 series. Post up a few pictures and the guys here with 200 series machines may be able to narrow it down.

There may be 3 sets of numbers on the data decal. Post what you have.

:WRS:  There should be a decal under the seat with a model number and serial number on it.

They used Briggs & Stratton, Kawasaki and Onan engines in the 212-5 so there are a lot of models. See if you can find your model number in these 3 pages

http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/search/?q=%22212-5%22&type=downloads_file

Are you entering a - (dash) when you enter the number?

Sometimes Toro is looking for a serial number with one less or one more digit than is actually on the decal.

If your tractor is 1990 or older use the word none for a serial number.

There is another way also. Go to

https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/index.cfm?xCaller=Toro

Enter 212-5 with a dash.

They should all come up so you can see what kind of a model number and serial number Toro recognizes.

Guessing on your mower model number

30" single-blade side discharge

36" 3-blade rear discharge

Just download one of the operator manuals because it covers both models
