Picked up my first Wheel Horse this fall and thought I was ready for snow.Keep having trouble keeping it running. Can  C120 with single stage blower handle 10+ inches of snow?

I kept having problems with carb and then found a broken wire on ignition switch that soldered by a previous owner. Will work on that today and hope to dig out later.Noticed a couple of splices in the wiring harness. What are the chances of finding an unmolested harness?

Thanks,Tom

5 miles N of Blackstone here, 45 or so miles SW from Richmond. Snowed yesterday, some sleet last night, more dry light snow today.  You can see Murphy has the best job!IMG_0214.thumb.JPG.c14589d56dc3dac7ff38bIMG_0216.thumb.JPG.b64a774ecd029520136eb

Hey Folks,

been a while since I've been on RS but snow threads are among my favorites. Here in Northern VA just west of DC we have about 18" I'd guess. At this point it has stopped, I think, since it is drifting and blowing.

At the hardware sore where I work it has been craaaaazy. All day Tuesday all I did was restock ice melt and shovels. Wed was my day off and I got the chains on. I didn't get to put the blower on then. I get off work 4 on Thursday and figured I would do it then, but was asked to go to the supermarket. Supermarket was not that crazy Thursday night, surprisingly.

Absolute mahem at the store Thursday and Friday. Thursday we had three deliveries of ice melt and sleds and sold them all. Friday had a big order from the Ace warehouse and sold all of the sleds and most of the ice melt. Sold lots of flashlights, batteries, etc etc.

Yesterday morning put the blower on before going to work. Found one of the front tires flat. Could not find the air chuck for the compressor... my 3 year old niece apparently had been playing with it. SO went got a new one and got her aired up. Everything ready but putting the belt on. Last night, after my room mate left for work, gave it a go on the 4" or so accumulated and all OK. Room mate had to work so I helped clear enough of the driveway so she could get to the street and went back to sleep (luckily the plows stopped coming down that street at some point and the build up in front of the driveway was not very big and also was not salty/icey rock hard).

Luckily I am not scheduled to work this weekend. Having my coffee now and will head out. This is the first tie I have used the blower since moving here from OH. My car is parked on the street so I hope and pray that the snow pushed up next to it is still not salty/icey and I can move it with the blower. The driveway wont take more than 20 minutes (baring problems) and then I will venture into the street and see what I can do. Not sure if more is expected, will check on that when I come back in to warm up.

Happy Snow Day folks, be safe.

The wind is blowing like all get out. Not sure how much is on the ground , can not tell how much snow is falling because it blowing side ways most of the time. When I put my snow suit on I am going to measure. Chains are not going on the tractor today, it is sitting in an unheated shed . Momma did not raise but one dummy and that's my younger brother.
