cleat 7,233 #1 Posted January 16, 2016 I have found all of my 42" and 48" deck height levers to be worn where they engage the quadrant. I cut the rod off flush on the longer side where it is welded in then punched out the 3/8" rod. Cut new rod to 2" and welded on longer side. clip 185 #3 Posted January 16, 2016 Cleat, good idea! Mine had been worn about 2/3 through. I built it back up with oxyfuel and some filler rod, then a quick coat of paint. Made a big difference in cut quality.

Don1977 605 #6 Posted August 7, 2016 Cleat just had to make one. Mine was all bent and worn. Did not have any 1" x 3/16" but had some 1" x 1/4" and used that.
cleat 7,233 #7 Posted August 7, 2016 Looks good. Thicker can't hurt. If you get a grip for the 3/16, I am sure it will fit on yours as well.
