wh500special 2,267 #6 Posted December 5, 2008 Great deal. Is it the kohler single cylinder or the Briggs twin? I once thought the Briggs model - the first "Black Stripe" to appear in the lineup - was goofy looking with its fiberglass hood and plastic fenders, but it's kind of growing on me now that I have one in my garage. I never will fall in love with the plastic fenders though. Nice find, Steve
canam1991 2 #7 Posted December 5, 2008 Great deal. Is it the kohler single cylinder or the Briggs twin? I never will fall in love with the plastic fenders though. Its has a briggs (kohler lover but its a tractor) plastic fenders and fiber glass hood just got it running purs like a kitten no smoke hydro is good and strong I think the tractor only has 200 hour tops!!!! I just can't stop thinking how great the nos plow looks this came from a 1920 car restorer and nothing sat outside i will try to get pics but it is 1 degree out <_<
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,602 #8 Posted December 5, 2008 If the fenders are in good shape I would keep them on there. But, if not, you can replace it with a steel one. I think, technically, yours is called the C-161 Twin. Here's a couple of pictures of one: http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?showtopic=3733 http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?showtopic=
