Jimf413 57 #1 Posted January 11, 2016 Hi everyone I just bought a Wheel Horse side mount Sickle Bar mower to use on one of my C160 tractors and Im not finding any info on here or videos of there use. Does anyone have any past or present experience using one of these.? I work on a hay farm and use a large sickle side mount mower so I have a lot of experience with them but have never used the WH version. Iv had Kingco and Troy units that worked well. Iv been told by several that these are very rare. Any information would be helpful. Thanks Jim

Racinbob 11,978 #5 Posted January 11, 2016 (edited) They certainly are getting hard to find. I had an older unit that I dedicated a 1963 to. Along with the usual uses the drive system on it allowed me to set it up at about a 45 degree angle. We had a lot of paths on our 26 acres and briars would grow into them. Set at that angle I would run the paths and it trimmed them well. Edited January 12, 2016 by Racinbob
MalMac 1,332 #6 Posted January 12, 2016 You did not say what model of sickle it is. If it's one designed for the older short frames, you will have to do minor changes and also change pulley sizes.

I paid $200.00 for this one but have seen them go for as much as $600.00 This one is in pretty good condition and only needs a bracket welded on the lift handle.
