stevebo-(Moderator) 8,056 #1 Posted January 4, 2016 I want to thank my good friends Jeff (fireman) and Vin (Vins RJ) for stopping over an helping me get this 57' running that I got at the big show two years ago. We replaced the engine that was in it with a good running K91 that I bought there the same year. Both were sitting on the shelf for the past two years. IMG_2971.MOV Click on video at bottom. Gonna get it mechanically right, paint the wheels, possible wet sand and oil it up and call it done.

Can you farm your help out...I got this Suburban with needs...... Actually no alcohol just some coffee. As far as farming out the help, I've got an RJ58 of my own to get running and still have to finish up my John Deere 318 before the snow starts. Vin is right when he says its like a tv show. We usually have a blast when we get together.
Ken B 3,116 #16 Posted January 6, 2016 I was flopped on the couch all day with a pretty nasty cold... When Steve and Jeff are working together I usually sit back and watch... No alcohol involved... Seriously?

stevebo-(Moderator) 8,056 #19 Posted January 8, 2016 I was able to do a little more work on the 57'. Painted rear rims and tires, added a tank support which pushed the hood back up into position and will not allow the tank to break the straps from the hood when trailering it. I know it is not pretty but I am not looking to change the look. I straightened out the shift lever and replaced the smaller belt. I am waiting on a reverse disk and then I can get the drive pulley where it needs to be. Video link at bottom IMG_3021.MOV
