Recommended Posts

I have been lucky so far on purchasing parts. So before I run off to Toro dealership. I would like to buy a new coil for this Kohler k91. I will collect the server numbers and model numbers in the event you need them

Thank you to all.

Bill,

This may not be any help at all, but often the problem is a bad condenser rather than a bad coil. That is assuming you are referring to an engine with a magneto versus battery and coil. Also most any good parts store should have a condenser on the shelf. It would not hurt to take the old one along for show and tell to the parts man.

Best wishes, David

Bill, I'll be watching closely to see what you find. I have 2 K91's and a K90 that I am trying to resolve spark problems on. I am waiting on new plug wire to arrive for the K90. I've already replaced the points and condenser. Spark looks weak to me and will not fire the engine.
