redone 45 #1 Posted December 30, 2015 I have been lucky so far on purchasing parts. So before I run off to Toro dealership. I would like to buy a new coil for this Kohler k91. I will collect the server numbers and model numbers in the event you need them Thank you to all. Bill
new2horses 287 #2 Posted December 30, 2015 Bill, This may not be any help at all, but often the problem is a bad condenser rather than a bad coil. That is assuming you are referring to an engine with a magneto versus battery and coil. Also most any good parts store should have a condenser on the shelf. It would not hurt to take the old one along for show and tell to the parts man. Best wishes, David
jb4249 139 #3 Posted December 31, 2015 Bill, I'll be watching closely to see what you find. I have 2 K91's and a K90 that I am trying to resolve spark problems on. I am waiting on new plug wire to arrive for the K90. I've already replaced the points and condenser. Spark looks weak to me and will not fire the engine.
