K321 starter problem

I have a 1984 C145 auto with k321  14hp ...The problem I have is that when its gets below 32 deg .. the starter spins bus not engage the flywheel... any good advice on correcting this issue??

WD 40!  You probably have moisture in the area of the Bendix drive. Put an incandescent light bulb close to the starter for a day to dry it and then drench the Bendix with WD 40.

 .. so  pull the blower housing and hose it down with WD then ??

Dirt and all that stuff gets all over the starter shaft and starter drive. The WD 40 will help clean the two pieces up. Oil on the shaft collects

some of that dirt the flywheel blows around under the housing. I have pulled the starter, taken it apart and cleaned it up real good also.

Thanks Howie ,I am in snow removal mode , but since it don't look I'm gonna get Rochester IN kinda snow here in Avon IN any time soon.. I think I will take your advice pull it apart and clean it up..
