Bonacker 49 #1 Posted December 21, 2015 picked up 32'' snow blower i have a 74 B-80. Do you think the snow blower is a bit much for the B-80 or should put it on 310-8 and put push blade on the B-80 . I would appreciate any advice
Sparky-(Admin) 23,158 #2 Posted December 21, 2015 If it was me...I would want the higher horse-power machine to have the blower. Mike...........
608KEB 796 #3 Posted December 21, 2015 If you have a 4 speed vs. a 8 speed transmission. I would take the 8 speed. The 4 speed may be a little to fast in deep snow. I have a 75 B80 with a 4 speed.
slammer302 2,156 #4 Posted December 21, 2015 (edited) I think the B-80 would work fine if it has a healthy k181 on it but if you have a 310-8 handy more hp won't hurt Edited December 21, 2015 by slammer302
wallfish 18,114 #5 Posted December 21, 2015 Blower on the 310 Blade on the B-80 Depending on how much snow you get, you may even find that 10 is a little small. It will definitely work but there is a noticeable difference when using a higher HP engine. It all depends on your situation too. I like to blast mine as far as possible and have the room to do it, but if you don't have the room and only need to shoot it 20ft or less then a 10 should be OK.
Bonacker 49 #6 Posted December 22, 2015 Thanks guys for your replies . I am going to go with you guys and put the blade on the b-80 even though it has good running 4 speed just use it on light duty thanks
