roadapples 6,983 #1 Posted December 20, 2015 Can anyone recommend a handheld tach. for our tractors? I`ve gotten by for 67 years without any so I don`t need a professional model. Just something to keep me in the 3600RPM range. I`ve seen them on flebay as low as $12 but I`m not sure I should trust one of those. Your thoughts would be appreciated, Thanks
lynnmor 7,847 #2 Posted December 20, 2015 I've been using one like the $12.08 one for years. To check the calibration, just point it at a florescent lamp, and it should read 7200 RPM.

jb4249 139 #8 Posted December 24, 2015 I use the Cen-Tech #66632 from HF. It lists for $39.99 but I don't think I paid that much, I'm too cheap. it works fine, when I can get the engine to run Ted
