briankd 819 #1 Posted November 30, 2015 just picked up rear weights for 65 bucks yesterday actually told my wife wanted a pair for Christmas so she went and got them. sneaked them out and tried them on tractor she says not getting them till Christmas. they don't wanta fit right. they the plastic 12" filled with cement I weighed them they are 50 lb each .I tried to force them into wheel and they are tight as hell !!!. got pissed and took grinder to one of them and shaved down the plastic now they will go in farther but still tight .I think they will go in by drawing them in with bolts but worried have hard time getting them out. found these weights a month ago at a mower shop locally. guy said they came off a wheel horse. any opinions ? also got these front weights 20 pounders a side for 20 bucks. brought them home and my rims not deep enough. by the pic they stick out a bit about inch and a half past tire. don't know if im gona keep them or not think they look dumb sticking out. they fit perfect on my deere . told they was mtd weights
cheesegrader 433 #2 Posted December 1, 2015 The rear weights look about right to me for 12" rear hubs. I doubt they would be hard to get out if you bolt them in over the winter. The front weights don't look like they fit over the hubs. I have a set of steel front weights that I had to take to a machine shop to have the hole for the hub enlarged and deepened. Cost about $10 a piece, and now they fit fine. Might not be worth it for only 20 pounds.
