stevebo-(Moderator) 8,041 #1 Posted November 14, 2015 I got the rear weight box from Uncle Bo last week for the 520 with two stage blower. I had to mount up a few brackets to tie it back to the tractor. I figured why not take a pic. About a month ago Ken B and I were at the local flea market and I picked up this really clean old Ariens blower. Runs mint. Last weekend at the flea I found a set of chains I put on today. So.... here is my crew. There is an outside chance I may mount a blade on something....

wallfish 15,932 #7 Posted November 14, 2015 Nice.Take that outside chance on mounting a blade to something. They work so nice for those little storms with only a few inches.Have you tried roller chain around the front tires?
mikekot3 92 #8 Posted November 14, 2015 I have one of those Ariens but it was a pain the butt to get running.
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,041 #9 Posted November 14, 2015 I have one of those Ariens but it was a pain the butt to get running. This one starts literally on the first pull every time. Nice.Take that outside chance on mounting a blade to something. They work so nice for those little storms with only a few inches.Have you tried roller chain around the front tires? I think I am going to mount a blade on the C195....
DougC 2,641 #10 Posted November 14, 2015 Look'in like winter aint gonna bother you a bit........... You could make a snow blade to go on the loader bucket much like teeth on a skid loader bucket. easy on and easy off when you needed it. Cheap too..................Like me.......... DennisThornton 4,769 #14 Posted November 15, 2015 I'd would hate to be without my dozer blade! I used it a lot in the other seasons but would really miss it come winter! For my drive I'd rather have a blade then a loader since I have the blower part covered. Of course more WHs and attachments are always better, but seriously, I ain't going through another winter without a blade to finish up, scrape and fine tune the little bit of snow my blower misses! I slipped and broke an ankle because of some snow over ice! Really trying to avoid that again! And I LOVE your building!

Ken B 3,116 #17 Posted November 15, 2015 Lookin good Steve. This snow season I'm gonna roll with my Ariens ST 10/28. Nothing too deep or heavy will stop it. A walk behind blower makes more sense for me, a few paths for the dogs to go and do their business on, a path to the wood pile and my small driveway. Trying to make paths with a tractor in my yard makes a mess and my days of clearing the private road I live on are over... I might put a blade on the 854 just for old times sake but I probably won't use it. Will, the Economy is still around, Not that Steve will ever get rid of it but i called dibs! stevebo-(Moderator) 8,041 #18 Posted November 15, 2015 Is the economy still around? Will-The Economy is still around but over my buddies house. I am letting him use it. Rather have it being used than just sit and gum up the carb. Did the barn get stained since the meet-n-greet Steve...looks pretty awesome in the picts. Craig-I did stain it finally and paint the windows. I also put the snow rail on the front side and standing seam on the lower roof. I will load another pic of the front roof done.

stevebo-(Moderator) 8,041 #24 Posted December 30, 2015 I decided to install plow off a 520 (longer set up) on my C160, add the rear weight box, turf tires and old school wheel weights and chains. We had some heavy and wet snow the other day and it pushed really well.
