Much more maneuverable than using pick up truck. USHorse 41 #3 Posted November 9, 2015 (edited) Thanks DougC........I agree, very maneuverable. I help out the owner of the hops field who sells the hops to NYS microbreweries. I help out more by consuming the final product. . Its a difficult task but I buck up! He was using his pickup truck pulling that red trailer up and down and in between the poles which supports an above head trellis system that the vines group up. Every year we put up new twine for the vines to grow. In order to reach the top of the trellis system he has to get close to the support poles with truck and trailer. Being that the trailer is much narrower than the truck, he could not get trailer very close to without bumping into poles with his truck. I stopped counting the scuff marks - yikes. So I bought a rear hitch from one of our RS vendors and now volunteer my tractor. It works great!.....he caught the bug because the first year I had used my 416 to mow between rows (1 miles worth) he went out and bought a D200.
